What this site stores, and how it is hosted.
Your Cabinet
Saved stories and collections are stored in your browser’s local storage under the key untypical.cabinet.v1. The stored data includes the item ID, whether it is a story or collection, and when you saved it. It is not sent to a server and does not sync between devices.
Removing an item from Cabinet deletes its saved entry. Clearing this site’s browser storage removes all saved items. Private browsing, browser settings or storage limits may prevent saving.
Search
Search runs in your browser against a small downloaded index. Queries appear in the page URL so you can return to or share a search. We do not send searches to a search provider or analytics service. Opening or sharing a search URL can send that URL, including the query, to the hosting provider.
No connected analytics
This edition has no connected analytics, advertising pixels, registration, payment system or newsletter form. Fonts and story images are served with the site. External source links lead to websites with their own privacy policies.
Hosting and contact
Vercel hosts this site and processes technical request data to deliver and protect it. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice for details. Cabinet entries stay in your browser.
